HEINZMANN equips itself for demanding applications in motor control

As a logical progression to the successful development and production of brushless disc-type motors, HEINZMANN has now set itself the task of offering its motors with their own control, integrated in the motor housing. HEINZMANN aims to be in a position to offer a solution that convinces in terms of both technology and cost efficiency, not just for the motor itself, but for its control. Its objective is therefore to turn the motor into a complete drive system, independent from external controllers.

This endeavour also gives HEINZMANN the opportunity to individually optimise all the specific features of its range of disc-type motors in a logically consistent manner. The company’s own inverter can be tailored to the specific characteristics and functionalities of the different customer applications, enabling efficiency to be increased still further. This opens the door to an even greater number of applications for these drives.

Unnecessary interfaces and functions are being deliberately dispensed with. The idea is to offer the user a drive system that has been fully adapted in advance, without any ballast that you simply connect and forget.

In addition, the integration of a controller in the motor housing brings a noticeable advantage in expenditure, as savings are made in terms of space and connectors, and the wiring is reduced to the minimum. So, the user benefits in two ways: from a lean and low-priced overall system from a single source.

Pumps and fans are the most obvious candidates for complete integration.
